The project is to create a number of environmental improvements to the shopping area of Hilton; currently the area is very run down and is in need of some regeneration. The improvements will include new shutters for the community centre, painting of the community centre, 3 new benches, an improved static planting scheme, enhanced and new artwork features.

The Community Council have wanted to undertake improvements in this area for some time, with a specific interest in enhancing the overall environment of the village. The local shops are also keen to see improvements in the area and will offer in kind assistance to the project. The local Councillors for the area have a keen interest in the site being improved and increasing the community involvement so as to ensure a sense of pride is felt by local residents.
