Aim
To improve, develop and sustain attractive, safe and accessible open space and amenity for the city of Inverness for the health and future benefits of its communities.
Objectives
- Identify the value that greenspaces have to communities and biodiversity
- Improve existing and new greenspaces that are valued by communities
- Sustain these spaces through long term management plans
- Make greenspaces more accessible to a wider group of users and maintain and develop connectivity
- Promote and publicise the value of greenspaces
- Develop guidelines for planning and development of existing and new greenspace that are relevant t the area
- Influence the policy, agenda and work of partners

Outputs
- 1 audit and study report of public open spaces and 'green wedges' identified in the Inverness Local Plan
- 1 assessment of current provision, and an analysis of needs and priorities based on consultation, to be taken forward into the strategy
- 1 strategy document and action plan that sets out guidance on the standards and future model for greenspace implementation in and around the city
- 1 website for greeninverness that will include information on progress and current project reviews
- 7 area events/ community workshops for each of the main urban communities
- 12 community based projects where greeninverness has had an input
- 1 flagship community project
- 1 Evaluation Report

Reporting
Quarterly reports are presented to the following partnership meetings;
December 2007 and March 2008.
